TheBoatApp’s mission is to provide a 360 seamless experience and unified access of users’ boating data. More specifically, to provide to mariners data management of logbook, inventory, maintenance, documents, checklists, tasks, alerts, reports, etc. TheBoatApp is powered by the TheBoatDB, the centralized database of all user data which also includes technical boat data and metrics, ratios and boats comparisons. We aspire to be “The Marine Data Cloud” provider, the single piece of data repository needed by mariners worldwide, being able to provide consolidated data management (e.g. logbook, documents, etc.) and soon, even systems monitoring (e.g. fuel/water sensors, etc.). In brief, your marine life, fully cataloged, organized and backed-up, accessible from anywhere on any device, online as well as offline!

Intuitive Interface providing separate modules, once for each needed functions (i.e. logbook, inventory, maintenance, documents, checklists, tasks, alerts, reports). Also, functionalities tree, with expanding branches for drilling down to needed functionalities, as well as type-and-go for immediately accessing the function you need to setup, without unnecessary clicks.

Dashboard
The overall status in a snapshot! The big picture in a glance for you to be able to see items needing your attention (e.g. forthcoming expiration dates, tasks, etc), figures involved (e.g. expenditures over the last period), etc.

-- Modules --

Logbook
Full registry of your voyages and conditions, fully searchable and shareable with your crew mates. Allowing multi-user entries (i.e. by the crew), photos, online publishing, social-media sharing, etc. Including trip log (time, location, etc), weather log, radio log, auto-logging at predefined intervals, etc. Integrated with Google Maps and providing route tracing, to see your route over the map, also integrated with Windy for always having a weather snapshot! Supporting audio-logging for any event for which you want more info than just a few words of a logbook entry!

Inventory
Full cataloging of your equipment, spares, tools, safety gear, medical supplies & gear, consumables, food provisions, etc. Not simply what you have on-board but also where exactly you have it (location on the boat), when you got it, how much you paid for it, if/when it expires, minimum quantities needed on board and much more! Also, receive notification alerts for inventory items approaching their expiration date (e.g. fire extinguishers, inspection certificates, food, etc) or dropping below the predefined minimum threshold, and make sure to renew/replenish them in time!

Maintenance
Actively manage your maintenance tasks and time schedule. Create once-off (e.g. new sails) or repeating (e.g. winterizing) maintenance tasks, link these with the relevant inventory item(s) and assign them to co-sailors/skippers/marinas/technicians making sure that they will be notified in time for your boat to be ready when you need to! Furthermore, track both preventive and corrective maintenance expenses (OPEX) on monthly, quarterly, annual or any time-period you need to.

Documents
All documents related to your boat (e.g. registration, license, insurance, etc), the crew (e.g. skipper license), systems (e.g. manuals), safety equipment (e.g. flares, raft), etc. In other words, your personal and boating document management system, including not simply the document itself but also validity information for you to be notified in time about forthcoming document expiration and thus plan in time their renewal!

Tasks
Simply, what needs to be done, when and by whom, also assignable to other users. In case the assignee is not a user already, will be notified by email. Plan maintenance tasks, put deadlines and assign them to the relevant person (i.e. technician, marina personnel, skipper, etc). Let you and them be notified via auto-reminders of forthcoming deadlines and plan accordingly!
